Nita R Binkley's Obituary
Nita Rae Binkley, 54, of Decatur, passed away Monday, October 8th, 2012, in her home.
Memorial service to celebrate Nita’s life will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with a “Flight Home” ceremony. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m.
Nita was born June 8th, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Eugene F. Binkley and Beverly L. (Stockton) Binkley. Nita is survived by one son, Albert Tony (April) Vieth; two grandchildren, Anissa and Aaryn Vieth; three sisters, Athena (Spankie) Orwig, Janet Binkley, Linda (Rich) Smith; nephews, Mark (Keli) Benscoter; Ryan (Abby) Benscoter; Justin (Amy) Binkley; nieces, Katrina (Issiah) Bledsoe; Rikki Smith; six great-nieces; best friends, Julie Clifton and Stacey McRae; and beloved cat “Bastard.”
Nita was preceded in death by her parents; first love, Albert Vieth; brother, Butch Binkley; and dear Aunt Barb and Uncle Wayne Cooper.
Nita had just celebrated her 20th years of employment at Country Club of Decatur. She was a member of Prairie Land Abate, attended Old Stephen Decatur H.S., and enjoyed services at Renaissance Church. Nita had numerous friends and never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling the world, dancing, playing Bunco, shopping, riding motorcycles and laying in the sun.
A gathering will be held at the Whits Ends immediately following services. Prairie Land Abate is dedicating their “Christmas in October: Saturday, October 13th in Nita’s honor.
Nita will be greatly missed and forever remembered for she was loved by so many.
