Norma Frances Barnes' Obituary
Norma Francis Barnes, 81, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away August 22, 2025.
Norma was born in Decatur on January 29, 1944, the daughter of Samuel and Louise (Pryer) Williams. She married Richard Barnes on September 24, 1987, in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Norma worked as a hotel housekeeper as well as various other occupations throughout her life. In her free time, she indulged her two passions – going to garage sales and spending time with her family. Norma especially loved her daughters.
Norma is survived by her daughters Ronda (Nick) Carlson of MN, Shelly (Allen) Bartels of SD, Janet (Bernie) Mietchen of UT, Tammy (Lance) Oye of MN, and Christina (Chris) Tow of SD; siblings Martha (Joe) Hawkins of IL, Donna Jimison of IL, Leonard (Beth) Williams of IL, and Ted (Jill) Williams of IL; special friend Dave of IL; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Jim Williams and Jesse Williams, and brother-in-law Vern Jimison.
