Norma "Jean" Hill's Obituary
On December 11, 2023, Norma “Jean” Hill ,92, of Decatur Il sadly passed away at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Norma was born on July 15,1931 to Fred and Edna Weikle.
Jean is survived by her son, John (Paula) Hill; brother, Frank Weikle; sister, Shirley Oaks; daughter-in-law, Terri Hill; grandchildren, Aaron Hill, Brian (Melissa) Hill, Chris Hill, Adam (Chelsee) Hill, Jessica Hill and Meghan (Keith) Bumgardner; great-grandchildren, Jaice, Mya, Maci, Maryn, Brayden, Jackson, Vivan, Christian and A.J. as well as many extended family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene “Joe” Hill; sons, Denny Hill and Bob Hill; brothers, Darrell Weikle, Norman Weikle and Lawrence Weikle; sisters, Venita Kinkaid and Frances Evans and grandson Todd Hill.
After her many years of farming, Jean found a love of traveling. Joe and Jean spent many years as snowbirds in Ft. Myers FL. She was quite good at playing cards and loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching sports especially Cardinal's baseball and truly loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was always happiest when she was with her family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jean’s name to the ALS foundation, American Heart Assocation or The bridge Church in Argenta Il.
A visitation for Jean will be held on Monday, December 18,2023 from 10-11am at The Bridge Church in Argenta, IL. A funeral service will be held at 11am also at The Bridge church with burial to follow at Friends Creek Cemetery.
