Norma Jean "Midge" Crutcher's Obituary
Decatur-Norma Jean “MIdge” Crutcher, 89, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Imboden Creek Living Center with her family by her side.
Norma was born June 3, 1927 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Eva (Heffington) Morey. She was previously employed at Swartz Restaurant retiring after forty years of service. Norma enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She married Donald E. Crutcher April 21, 1955 in Decatur. He preceded her in death January 14, 2004.
She leaves behind her daughters Sandra Kay Brownlee and Donna Jean Beasley and husband Terry, brother Gary Morey, grandchildren Rodney Brownlee, Diane Stroud, Laurie McKean and husband Val, and Wade Beasley, five great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Jack Morey, sister Barbara Payne, and great-granddaughter Amber Richter.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, CNAs, and staff at Imboden Creek Living Center for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Norma’s life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the services. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Association or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
