Norma Jean Rogers' Obituary
DECATUR, Norma Jean Rogers, 87, passed on Monday, June 16, 2025 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Norma was born January 2, 1938 in Decatur, IL. Norma retired from accounting and bookkeeping at her husband’s business, Roger’s Oil Company.
Norma loved to read, play tennis, and golf. She was also a talented painter, creating many beautiful scenes that hung in her home. She enjoyed watching NBA and high school basketball games, especially her grandsons’.
She is survived by her stepdaughters Rita Boyd (Mike) and Angela Grosshans (Russ); brother Ed Adams (Joy); Sister-in-law Carolyn Davis (Ron); Grandchildren: Trisha Thompson (Grant), Matt Lee (Danelle), Zack Boyd (Courtney), Layna Stark (Mike), Adam Jackson (Darion), and Aaron Jackson; Great Grandchildren: Emmersyn, Addeline, Ryker, Nova, Skylar, Elodie, Edison, Elias, Gemma, Cora, Katie, Alex, and Lincoln.
Norma reunited with her husband of 54 years, Robert Rogers, and cherished puppy, Albie, in heaven. Also preceding her in death are her parents Vivian and Paul Adams, sister Ronda England, and stepson Michael Rogers.
Norma will be missed dearly and leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and meaningful traditions for her loved ones to carry on.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on July 11, 2025 at Macon County Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared with the family at https://www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
