Norma Jean Zindars' Obituary
Norma Jean Zindars, 79, of Decatur, IL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 11:39 PM. Norma was born on August 14, 1944, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Aden and Naomi (Richards) Eskew.
She married Robert Wesley Zindars on October 20, 1963. Norma worked at the Herald & Review before staying home to raise her two sons. She later worked and retired from UPS.
Norma had a strong faith and love for Jesus that showed in her everyday life. She was a kind and loving person and everyone who knew her loved her. She was most proud of her sons and the wonderful husbands and fathers they became. Her prayers, love, and example, without a doubt, had the biggest impact on her sons and grandchildren's faith in God and that was her number one priority. She volunteered in many roles over the years at Four Square Church and Maranatha Church. She played the piano beautifully and enjoyed volunteering to play in nursing homes for many years.
Norma is survived by her sons, Kent (Rita) Zindars, Aaron (Wendy) Zindars both of Decatur, IL; sister, Carol Carroll of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, James, Brittany, Madison, Dalton, Briar, Kristen; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Hickory Point Christian Village Rehab and DMH 5400 nurses.
A celebration of life will be held on December 17, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Harristown Village Hall, 185 North Kembark Street, Decatur, IL 62522.
