Moweaqua-Pansy Mae Rutherford, 82, of Moweaqua, passed away Friday, May 07, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Pansy's life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday May 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Pansy was born September 7, 1927 in Decatur, the daughter of John and Frances (Denton) Hinton. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Club and Unity Prayer. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the riverboat. She married Walter Rutherford April 13, 1946. He preceded her in death July 21, 1979.
She leaves behind her children; Linda Stadler of Moweaqua, Judy Norman of Moweaqua, Janet Worthey and Clyde of Decatur, Tom Rutherford and wife Judy of Decatur, Carol Gross and husband Charlie of Delphi, Indiana, John Rutherford and wife Diane of St. Claire Shores, Michigan, Nick Rutherford and wife Chris of Decatur, brothers; John, Ralph, and Charles, sisters; Rosalie, Kathy, and Jamie Ann, fifteen grandchildren, and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, and sisters; Marguerite Thomas and Nancy Bulger.
