Patrice Marie Mcgehee, born on May 13th, 1958, peacefully left this world on September 8th, 2024, in Decatur, IL.
Patrice lived a life rich with laughter, warmth, and undeniable tenacity. She was 66 years old.
In 1978, she married Wilburn McGehee, embarking on a journey that spanned 31 beautiful years. Their love was a testament to resilience and partnership. Patrice was a talented seamstress whose hands wove not only fabric but also countless cherished memories.
Retired and widowed, Patrice found solace in her family and a menagerie of furry companions. She leaves behind her son, Jonathon McGehee, her daughter-in-law, Sarah Webb, and her daughter, Amanda Risley. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Benjamin Primeaux and Daniel Bledsoe. She also leaves behind her adored grand dogs, Buddy McGehee, Carly Webb, Black Hawk McGehee, along with grand cats Squeak, Snuggles, and Cuddles.
An ardent animal lover, Patrice's heart was as vast as her love for coffee, Star Trek, June’s Journey, and the aisles of JoAnn Fabrics. Her sharp tongue and dry wit were legendary among friends, offering humor and insight in equal measure.
Join us in honoring Patrice’s life at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL, on October 18, 2024, at 1 p.m.
