Patricia A. Crowe's Obituary
Decatur-Patricia Ann “Patt” Crowe, 78, of Decatur, passed away at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Patt’s life will be 10 a.m. Monday August 3, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the funeral home. Entombment with Flight Home Ceremony will be at the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. Patt was born June 2, 1931 in East Peoria, the daughter of Edward W. and Verna M. (Taylor) Mettam. She was an excellent homemaker that enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patt was an avid Cubs fan and member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Roy Dean Crowe August 29, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1997.
She leaves behind her daughters; Cathe Hunt of Galesburg, Cheri Hirstein and husband John of Colmberg, Germany, Connie McPeak and husband Charles of Mt. Zion, and Cindy Osborn and husband Randy of Mt. Zion. grandchildren; Benjamin Wagener and wife Michelle, Tera Miatke and husband Karl, Alissa Wagener, Amy Olsen and husband Raub, Holly Hirstein, Scott Hirstein, Megan McPeak, Charlie McPeak, Hillary Osborn, and Kody Osborn, and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.
We are comforted by the fact that mom is now in dad’s arms.
She was also reunited in heaven with her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center especially Erin and Lisa and the nurses and staff in the cardiac unit at DMH.
