Patricia Dodd's Obituary
Patricia L. Dodd (Johnson), 94, of Warrensburg, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Fair Havens Senior Living.
Patricia was born on September 26, 1931, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Monroe and Ida Leona (Larson) Johnson. She graduated from Monroe Center High School. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She married Norman K. Dodd on December 19, 1949.
Patricia owned Decatur Automatic Company with her husband. She found her greatest joy in caring for her grandchildren, devoting much of her life to loving and nurturing them. She was gifted with a creative spirit, and would invent fun games that kept them happily entertained for hours. In later years, she loved watching game shows.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Gloria Parton and Tamari Dodd; granddaughters, Danniel (Daniel) Wentworth, Stephanie (Warren) Hale, Melissa (Shane) Lourash, Stacey Wenskunas, Angie (Kevin) Ames; grandsons, Shane Parton, Nick Dodd, Tom (Sue) Parton; grandson in law, Chad Blackwell and many great grandchildren; siblings, Vernon Johnson, Carol Strang, Shirley (James) Erboe, Johnny Johnson, Thomas (Kathy) Johnson; brother in laws, Jerry (Kathy) Dodd, Gary Noble, Ward Gable and Floyd Stephens; sister in laws, Peggy Case and Neva Dodd.
She is preceded in death by husband, Norman K. Dodd; son, Larry Dodd; granddaughters, Amber Blackwell and Heather Martin; son in law, Mike Parton; siblings, Robert (Dorothy) Johnson, Beatrice (Robert) Johnson, William (Betty) Johnson, Eugene (Donna) Johnson, Leroy (Ann) Johnson, Doris Noble, Susan Gable, Joyce Stephens; brother in laws, Willis Dodd, Gerald Dodd and Joseph Strang; sister in laws, Rae Krause, Pat Jensen, Shirley Johnson and Carolyn Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in New Milford, Illinois.
