Patricia "Rosanne" Hall's Obituary
Decatur-Patricia “Rosanne” Hall, 85, of Decatur, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Heartland of Decatur.
Rosanne was born September 22, 1929 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of John and Mary (Wheeler) Swick. She grew up in Newton, Illinois and was previously employed as a secretary and clerk with the Newton City and Municipal County. She was a member of the Jasper County Historical and Genealogy Society and her greatest love was her family and many friends. Rosanne married Herb Sewell of Tucson, AZ in 1950. They later divorced. She then married Francis “Bud” Hall of Newton, IL in 1975.
Rosanne leaves behind her children Carol Dixon and partner Carol Wood of Decatur and John Sewell and wife Cynthia of Tucson, Arizona, stepdaughters Bonnie Finn and husband Jim of Newton and Becky Groves and husband Ron of Houston, Texas, grandchildren Forest Dixon and wife Ivy, Maria Lichty and husband Josh, Crissy Fail, Johnny Sewell, and Tyler Sewell, Carol Woods children, Matt Wood and wife Pam, Kristin Taylor, Andy Wood and wife Kristin, and great-grandchildren of Carol and John, Ramona, Mika, Paula, Caleb, Maxwell, Aubrey, Connor, and John Oliver, and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud Hall, sisters Dessie Ross, Dollie Benefield, and Zola Schuster, stepson Bill Hall, and beloved great-grandson Connor Fail.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Heartland of Decatur, Dr. Dan Smith, St. John’s Hospice, and to Mike and Sarah French, and Sandy Lucht for all of their loving care and support.
