Patricia Kay Hood's Obituary
Patricia Kay Hood, 75, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:42 A.M. on Tuesday (08-27-2024) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Pat was born on January 26, 1949, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Thomas Wayne Mullins and Barbara J. (Miller) Mullins. She married Charles “Charlie” Hood on June 12, 1970, in Decatur, IL.
Pat was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God and was very active in the church. She helped at the church in hospitality by helping coordinate services for families with funeral dinners. One thing that she did for the funeral dinners was bringing in baked beans that she made with the works, everyone loved them and wanted her recipe. Pat was also known as the “Card Lady”, sending cards to everyone for all occasions. Most of all she loved her husband Charles and her family very much. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Charles “Charlie" of Decatur, IL, of over 54 years of marriage. Children: Travis Hood (Stacey) of Decatur, IL and Courtney Kennedy (Doug) of Mt. Zion, IL; 5 grandchildren: Dakota, Ashley, Annah, Amber, and Dayna; 2 great-grandchildren: Gannon and Sadie; one brother Michael Mullins (Bonnie) of Decatur, IL; and one sister Sharon Pfeiffer (Bill) of Mt. Zion, IL.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday (09-06-2024) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. The burial will be at Graceland Cemetery following the memorial service.
