Patricia Anne "Patti" Allen's Obituary
Patricia Anne “Patti” Allen, 76, of Peoria, formerly of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Patti was born April 3, 1940, in Decatur, the daughter of Boyd and Evelyn (Dickens) Allen. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and then attended Eastern Illinois University where she majored in dance. She was previously employed at Velde Ford and Velde Lincoln-Volvo retiring with over forty years of service.
Patti is survived by her brother Boyd (Theresa) Allen Jr. of Dallas, Texas; nephew Brian (Sandi) Allen of Dallas, Texas; and niece Heather Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother David Allen.
Patti enjoyed dancing and music and would break out into song anytime she had the chance. She also loved, loved, loved her Cubbies and had a delightful sense of humor (which was necessary as a loyal Cubs fan).
Patti will be remembered as a warm and generous friend loved by many.
Graveside services will be Monday, June 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at North Fork Cemetery in Decatur. A celebration of Patti’s life will be held at the Last Hurrah in Peoria on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 4:00 p.m.
