Patsy A. South's Obituary
Patsy A. South, 74, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Patsy was born December 25, 1939 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ervin Tucker and Stella (Russell) Crawford. She was the President of the Union of High Flyers. She loved bowling and watching the Chicago Cubs. She married Roger South on October 3, 1987 in Decatur. They shared 26 wonderful years together.
Patsy leaves behind her husband, Roger; children, Jean Yatta of Tempe, AZ; Scott Leslie Brown of Decatur; Bobby Ray Brown of O’Fallon, MO; Teddy Michael Brown of Decatur; stepson, Gary Lee South of South Carolina; sister, Marjorie Tucker Alderson; grandchildren, Coty Michael Brown; Christopher Lee South; Allyssa Lee Master; Jason South; and Travis James South.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ervin Leslie Tucker; and sisters, Betty Tucker Christison; Marilyn Maxine Wise; Beverly Jean Crawford; and Lena Mae Tipsword.
A graveside service to celebrate Patsy’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Patsy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
