Phylis and Stephen:I am so sorry for your loss. I know you may not recognize my name as Wendell. But Stephen I worked with you as a car salesman. I always went by my middle name which is the same as your dad's Dean Rose.My wife and I will be praying for strength for you and your Mother. I really enjoyed joking with Mr Ground when I was Pastoring in the Churches of God. My memories of Dean are very special. My family moved to Decatur to become the new pastor of Mound Chapel (1954 ). I recall Dean and Phyllis dating ( the cutest couple ever! ) I was delighted to attend their wedding in which my mom was the soloist and my father performed their ceremony. I was delighted as a teenager to babysit for Stephen when He was just a baby as I knew Dean was cautious as to even held him.( ha!) I always admired the way Dean took care of his beautiful wife, Phyllis. They certainly adored each other.Could never forget those Archway cookies and his generosity to donate year after year to Vacation Bible School. Because of Dean ( chairperson ) my parents were gifted a new car!Dean truly had a heart of gold!!!Heaven is rejoicing! John and Diana

So sorry to hear of Dean's passing. We saw each other almost daily when I worked for A&P, Crane Potato Chips and Frito-Lay over the years. He was such a great guy. We always had a great conversation when we met even after his retirement. I went to school with his nephew Paul at Eisenhower. Prayers to the family.
