Paula Rae Hartwig's Obituary
Paula Rae Hartwig, 73, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away October 24, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Paula was born on March 14, 1952, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Peck) Walters. She married Charles Hartwig in 1972. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2018.
Paula is survived by her sons Christopher Hartwig of Decatur and Paul (Mindy) Hartwig of Mt. Zion; several siblings; grandchildren Hunter Hartwig, Jacob Hartwig, Charles Hartwig, and Emma Hartwig; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.
A memorial visitation for Paula will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, November 1 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family at https://www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
