Pauline Crist's Obituary
Decatur-Pauline “Pean” Crist, 94, of Decatur, passed away, Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services to celebrate Pauline’s life will be at 11 am Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis McClure officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Juvae Jazz Society. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Pauline was born April 29, 1914 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of John A. and Anna (Toops) Sparks. She graduated from Mattoon High School. She was a homemaker. She married William F. Crist November 29, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1975.
She leaves behind her son; William Crist of Decatur, daughter; Janice Likins and husband Ronald of Cerro Gordo, special niece Constance Ratliff and husband Jeff of Mattoon, sister; Patricia Larimer of Mattoon, grandchildren; Cameron Crist and wife Ethel of Decatur, Crystal Ilsley of Springfield, Angela Taylor of Latham, and Dennis Likins of Hammond, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline was reunited in heaven with her parents; husband; sisters; Audrey Montgomery and Charlotte Nelson, grandson Clayton Crist, and a great-great-granddaughter.
