Decatur-Pauline Geraldine “Polly” Mehr, 85, of Decatur, passed away at 11:45 am Saturday, August 22, 2009 in Lincoln Manor.

Polly was born November 23, 1923 in Chicago, the daughter of Benjamin and Edna (Morse) Graham. She married Cyrus Sanford Mehr July 5, 1945. He preceded her in death December 18, 2002. Polly was a very devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She was in sales at Carson’s Jewelers working alongside her husband for many years. Polly was an amazing bridge player and received her Life Master certificate from the American Contract Bridge League in 1986.
She leaves behind her son; Mark Mehr and wife Kima Jo of Decatur, grandsons; Danny and Bruce of Decatur, and Nicholas of Naperville, and great-grandson Vinnie of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
Polly’s family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Lincoln Manor and Dr. Fritz and his staff.
