Decatur- Pauline E. Tapscott, 86, of Decatur went to be with her Lord and Savior October 16, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her bedside.
Services to celebrate the life of Pauline will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve DeVore officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with “Flight Home” ceremony will be at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, Ill. Pauline was born November 27, 1923 in Macon County, Ill. The Daughter of Melvin and Alma Smith. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Decatur. She married Ray E. Tapscott in 1971. He died April 15, 1982.
She is survived by her sons; R. William Christie and wife Abby of Decatur and Rodney Christie and wife Cathy of Oklahoma, daughters; Madonna Lewis and husband William of Decatur, Beverly Drum and Husband Edward of Mt. Zion, Nancy Young of Decatur and Karen Johnson and husband Robert of Lincoln. 14 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 20 step-great grandchildren.
She was greeted into Heaven by her husband Ray, her parents, son; Richard Lee, daughter; Sandra Pauline, a great grandson and a son-in-law.
