Decatur-Pearl D. Gaffron, 74, of Decatur, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at McKinley Court Care Centre.
Graveside services to celebrate Pearl’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Veteran’s section of Graceland Cemetery with the “Flight Home” Ceremony to conclude the service. She was born May 17, 1935 in Clinton, Illinois the daughter of Elmer and Mae (Souleyrette) Taylor. She retired from General Electric and was a member of the VFW Post #99 Ladies Auxiliary. She married Fred K. Gaffron in 1953. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2007.
She leaves behind her daughters; Terri Littrell and husband Bob of Decatur and Debbie Charveron and husband Nick of Decatur, granddaughter; Leslie Stewart and husband Steve of Forsyth, brothers; Harold, Elmer Jr., Owen, and Lawrence Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
