Pearl Edward Polley's Obituary
Pearl Edward Polley, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:05 A.M. on Monday (04-27-2026) at his home.
Pearl was born on June 12, 1931, in Beecher City, IL, the son of Everett Polley and Rebecca Jane (Smith) Polley. He married Jessie Mae Armstrong on March 8, 1963, in Decatur, IL.
Pearl served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of South Shores Christian Church. Pearl worked for Tryco Manufacturing for 24 years and then worked at Jenner Sales Corporation for 19 years, retiring in 1996 as a Service Manager. He was a wonderful woodworker, loved fishing, was a great gardener, and loved traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife Jessie of 63 years of marriage; children: Edward Duane Polley and wife Lori of Oreana, IL; Brenda Dee Hart and husband Tony of Oakley, IL; Sandra Renee Kinzler and husband Keith of Davis Junction, IL; three grandchildren: Megan Hart, James Kinzler, and Jonathon Kinzler; one great-grandchild Barrett River Scott and one brother Lloyd Delbert Polley of Decatur, IL.
Pearl was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Frank and Everett, two sisters: Irene and Mae, and two grandchildren: Hailey Marie Scott and Anthony Jared “AJ” Hart.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday (05-04-2026) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at West Frantz Cemetery in Oakley Township.
