Pearl "Sally" Gaither's Obituary
Pearl “Sally” Gaither, 80, of Decatur, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at Decatur Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 14, 1935 in Decatur to Charles H. and Pearl L. (Odom) Parker. She married Carl H. Gaither, Sr. on June 27, 1954, in Decatur. Pearl was the past Worthy Matron of Scepter Chapter No 163, Orange Grove Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and she was very active in youth groups.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl Gaither, Sr. of Decatur; one son, Carl (Debbie) Gaither, Jr. of Reno, Nevada; one daughter, Susan (Ray) Gardiner of La Plata, Maryland; six grandsons, Raymond, John and Daniel Gardiner, James, Nicholas and Carl Gaither III.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother.
The family will host a memorial service to celebrate the life of Pearl Gaither at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Summit Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur. Memorials may be directed to Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
