Peggy L. Vogel's Obituary
Decatur-Peggy L. Vogel, 69, of Decatur, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate Peggy's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church, 742 E. Clay, with Father Jeff Grant Celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the mass at the church. Family requests casual attire. Entombment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in the Pieta Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Peggy was born October 2, 1940 in Mattoon, the daughter of Willard and Cora (Joseph) Vandiver. She was previously employed as a store clerk at Lowes retiring after twelve years of service. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and crocheting. Peggy married James Vogel October 8, 1960 in Arcola.
She leaves behind James her beloved husband of nearly fifty years, daughter; Vicki Lynch and husband James of Springfield, and sister; Willa Epperson of Surprise, Arizona.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents.
