Phillip Austin Rogers' Obituary
Decatur-Phillip Austin Rogers, 57, of Decatur, passed away 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 in St. John’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.
He was born to James and Prudenza (Fiorucci) Rogers on March 5, 1958, in Decatur, IL. Phillip was a loving man who always left his imprint on your heart. He attended Progress School, Sunnyside School, and Macon Resources. He was a success in Special Olympics in bowling. He will be greatly missed.
Phillip is survived by his brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Jane (Macko), and sister, Patty McNulty. He is also survived by his nephew, Matthew and wife, Elizabeth, nephew Andrew and wife, Ulara, and his niece, Jessica and her husband, Chris Kant, four great nieces, Kate, Ruby, Lilly, and Scarlett. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Phillip was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Jim and Prue.
Services to celebrate his life will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Central Christian Church. Visitation will be one hour before the services in the church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Macon Resources, 2121 Hubbard Avenue, Decatur, IL, 62526.
