Phyllis May Davis' Obituary
Forsyth- Phyllis May Davis, 91, of Forsyth passed away at 4:35 am Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in her home.
Phyllis was born on October 9, 1920 in Drakeville, IA the daughter of Zim and Hattie Gilliland. She was a member of Central Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Kenneth Davis; sons, Kenneth E. (Karen) Davis of Decatur; Steven O. (Shelby) Davis of Buffalo; brother, Richard Gilliland of Ottumwa, IA; grandchildren, Michael (Tedra) Davis of Champaign; Lori Lyons (David) of Decatur; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, three brothers, Harold, John and Raymond Gilliland; and one sister Erma Milosevich.
Funeral service celebrating her life will be 11:00 am Monday, November 28, 2011 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or DMH Hospice.
