Phyllis "Ike" Elizabeth Slonaker's Obituary
Phyllis “Ike” Elizabeth Slonaker, 65, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Ike was born September 17, 1951, in Decatur, to Jeremiah Schuyler and Margaret Evelyn (Matheney) Slonaker. She was a supervisor at Jan Master’s Cleaning Services in Mt. Zion for many years. Ike was a world class collector of lambs and she enjoyed her cross stitch.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry “Pete” (Cindy) Slonaker of Warrensburg, IL; sister, Carol L. Smith of Decatur, IL and longtime friend, Mary Bowry of Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Jeanne Frankenfeld, Carlene Rankin and Anne McCoy.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ike will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery in Warrensburg. Memorials may be directed to Cats Only 2733 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526.
