Phyllis Ann Hockaday's Obituary
Phyllis Ann Hockaday, 90, of Forsyth, IL, passed away at 7:55 P.M. on Sunday (03-17-2024) at Copper Creek Cottages Memory Care of Lincoln, Lincoln, IL.
Phyllis was born on May 7, 1933, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Byron Burns Mullins and Redith Adeline (Laughlin) Mullins. She married James Ross Hockaday on August 10, 1952, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2019.
Phyllis was a member of the Forsyth United Methodist Church in Forsyth, IL, where she sang in the church choir and was also in the church quilting group. Phyllis also enjoyed going camping and was a member of the Stay Rolling Camping Club.
She is survived by her children: Jeffrey Ross Hockaday and wife Jenelle of Decatur, IL.; Jean Ellen Brouillette and husband Bruce Wayne of Salem, IL.; grandchildren: Justin Harrison and wife Leia of Salem, IL, Robert Harrison of O’Fallon, IL, Joel Harrison and wife Ashley of Sharpsburg, GA; one brother James Mullins of Maroa, IL; and one sister Marilyn Bastob of Kansas City, MO.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James Keith, five brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday (03-21-2024) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be in Graceland Cemetery Decatur, IL.
