Phyllis Lavonne Rosborough's Obituary
Phyllis Lavonne (Catlin) Rosborough, 83, of Decatur, went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Phyllis was born August 6, 1937, in Hammond, IL to Jesse V. and Aleita M. (Kestner) Catlin. She married Dean E. Rosborough on July 19, 1954 in Coldwater, MS. They had two beautiful children together, Pam S. Rennert of Independence, MO and Kevin L. Rosborough (Lori) of Mt. Pulaski, IL.
Phyllis has recently retired from the Macon County Health Department where she had worked for 14 years. She and Dean attended Temple Baptist Church and her faith was very important to her. Phyllis and Dean loved to purchase houses and redo them by restoring and decorating them. Phyllis loved to read, listen to good music, and spend time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Dean; her daughter, Pam; her son Kevin ( Lori); her eight grandchildren, Stacy (Jay) Wright, Kimberly Rennert, Alexis Rennert, Jason (Karen) Rosborough, Stephen (Tina) Rosborough, Chloe (Brayz) Coakley, Sarah Rosborough, and Luke Althoff; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, Gracie and Kaylie Withrow, Violet and Brayz Coakley; Kaitlin Rennert, Lacey Barrows and Charlie Rosborough; her sister, Helen (Catlin) Hohenstein; her brother, Doug Catlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Jim and Dean Catlin; and her sister, Linda (Catlin) Allison.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Phyllis Rosborough will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, at Hall Cemetery in Blue Mound. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to DMH Hospice.
