Priscilla "Peggy" Percival's Obituary
Decatur-Priscilla D. “Peggy” Percival, 89, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
She was born September 14, 1924 in Effingham, the daughter of Louis and Claire Thoele. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed reading. She married Paul E. Percival May 8, 1948. He preceded her in death September 5, 1982.
She leaves behind her daughters Paula Percival of Decatur and Pam Baker and husband Nick of Argenta, son Brad Percival and wife Gina of Tolono, grandchildren Brandon Baker and wife Kelly, Christopher Baker, Heather Navarro and husband Michael, Philip Mochel, Kelsey Percival, and Brayden Percival, and great-granddaughter Ashley Baker.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, son Philip Percival, and sisters Phyllis Luken and Mitzi Reis.
The family would like to give a special thanks to caregivers Mary Turner and Tina Russell for all of their loving care.
Graveside services to celebrate Peggy’s life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday August 21, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
