Decatur- Ralph D. 'Speed' Jones, 80, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday, October 10, 2012. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Speed will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Gracela Read Obituary
Deema; So sorry for your loss. As you well know you had a one of a kind. Speed taught me so much in few years we worked together. I never met anybody as smart as Speed, he could build anything he wanted and always made it look easy. Between your travels and my busy life i didnt make it by near as often as i should have.

Since my very first day at Sun-N-Fun Speed has been my neighbor and shopmate. Anything you needed Speed was always there with his talent and skills to help you out. It will be very difficult to deal with the quiet without Speed making all that "racket" next door. As my darling southern mother would have said " Bless his little heart, he will be sorely missed. I was so sorry to hear about Speed. He was such a talented man and it was a pleasure to watch him work. Usually always had a smile on his face and a kind word. I feel honored to have meet him and know that he called me "friend". I can't imagine how the Sun-n-Fun will get by without him. For me it will not be the same without Speed there. I have a heavy heart knowing he won't be with us this next year. My condolences go out to his family. Speed will be missed terribly. Rest in peace my friend.
