Ralph E. Largent's Obituary
Decatur – Ralph E. Largent, 78, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Symphony of Decatur.
Ralph was born April 7, 1935 in Henton, Illinois the son of Clester and Laura (Prossor) Largent. A member of Moundford Free Methodist Church, Ralph worked at Firestone before retiring after 30 years. He was a proud member of Local 713 and enjoyed representing his brothers & sisters as Union Steward and later as Safety Steward. Ralph married Rebecca Petchat and she survives.
Ralph leaves behind his wife, Rebecca of Boise, ID; children: David (Lisa) Largent, Shelley (Cecil) Tippit of Decatur, and Kent Largent of Macon; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; step-children: Jay Reiss, Gregg Reiss, and Mary Nelson of Boise, ID. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren; sisters: Lavone Fur of CO, and Rosemary Anderson of IA; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by with his parents.
Services to celebrate his life will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Moundford Free Methodist Church; visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.
