Ralph C. Lyon's Obituary
Ralph C. Lyon, 90, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord at 7:40 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 in Moweaqua Rehab and Health Care with his family by his side.
Ralph was born August 10, 1927 in Allegre, Kentucky, the son of Wallace and Hazel (Slaughter) Lyon. He was a salesman with the Buick Dealership in Decatur retiring after forty-eight years of service. Ralph was the number one salesman for many years and had a dedicated following of customers. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Ralph enjoyed cars, fishing especially in a boat on Clinton Lake, and hunting especially pheasants and quail. He married Dorothy (Peavler) Starnes on April 20, 1964.
Ralph is survived by his wife Dorothy, sons Ron (Lenora) Lyon and Jeff (Laurie) Lyon, stepson Gary (Cindy) Starnes, brothers Charles Lyon and Benny (Linda) Lyon, nine grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Ralph was reunited in Heaven with his parents and brother Paul Lyon.
Ralph’s family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Moweaqua Rehab and Health Care for all of their loving care and support.
Graveside services to celebrate Ralph’s life will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 20, 2018 in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ralph’s honor may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
