Randy L. Gordon's Obituary
Randy L. Gordon, 65, of Decatur, passed away December 31, 2013 in his home.
Randy was born May 9, 1948, the son of Loran and Ruth (Smith) Gordon. He proudly served for the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He was a tire builder at Firestone for 30 years, and the Vice-President of the Steelworkers Union. He married Dorothy Triggs on March 19, 1971 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2001.
Randy leaves behind his son, David (Julie) Gordon of Durand, IL; sisters, Lorie (Bill) Harnish of Decatur, Peggy Teschner of Decatur; and granddaughter, Ava Gordon.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents; daughter, Suzanne Michelle; brothers, Robert, Terry, and Danny D. Gordon; and sister, Rita Lynn.
Honoring Randy’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland Crematory. Services may be held at a later date.
