Ray "Rick" F. Chamberlain's Obituary
Ray “Rick” F. Chamberlain Sr., 70, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Rick was born on February 22, 1946 in Decatur the son of Ray W. and Lola (Lamb) Chamberlain. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He retired from A.E. Staley Manufacturing and WAND TV.
Surviving are his children, David Chamberlain (Meredith) of Decatur; Scott Chamberlain (Chandi Voyles) of Decatur; Trisha Quinn of Decatur; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his companion Jane Spicer and her children Jerry Spicer (Todd) of California; and Jason Johnson (Jennifer Voegel) of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janice Heckman, and son, Ray “Rick” F. Chamberlain Jr.
Graveside service to celebrate ricks life will be 1 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors conducted by Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Monday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. The family requests casual attire.
