Raymond Douglas Bowers, 75, of Decatur, IL passed away March 9, 2023 at Fairhaven Christian Home, Decatur, IL.
Raymond was born June 15, 1947 in Anaheim, CA, the son of Raymond Eugene and Betty Jane (Jaco) Willis.
Raymond had served in the US Navy during the Vietnam war.
He married Sandra Dugan on September 5, 1992 in Decatur, IL.
Raymond was a private investigator for Pinkerton Security for many years. He was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church. Raymond was known to be an avid collector of many different items, to include, Coca-Cola memorabilia, NASCAR memorabilia, Coins, and hat pins. He will also be remembered for driving racecars at the Macon County Speedway.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra; children, Crystal Bowers-Deal of Lincoln, IL, Eric Rodgers (Lisa) of Tennessee, Pamela Lindsay of Decatur, IL, Tim Rodgers (Shawn) of Cerro Gordo, IL, Todd Rodgers (Melissa) of Decatur, IL, Susan Rodgers of Decatur, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy; and brother, Jay Bowers.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
