Raymond Francis Floyd's Obituary
Raymond F. Floyd, 99, of Decatur, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Decatur Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Floyd was born February 9, 1913 in Harvel, son of Eugene and Minnie (Leonard) Floyd. A member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Raymond worked as laborer for many years with 23 years at Caterpillar. He married Helen McCarty and she preceded him in death in 1983.
Also preceding him in death were his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Surviving is his daughter, Mary Patricia Moreland of Taylorville; grandchildren: Julie (Tony) Jacovec of Coal City, and Cory Moreland of Taylorville; great grandchildren: Parker and Lauren Jacovec.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Thomas Catholic Church; visitation begins at 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
