Rex D. Wiley's Obituary
Rex D. Wiley, Sr. 74, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Rex was born June 14, 1941, in Decatur, to Robert A. and Georgia M. (Davidson) Wiley. He was a production worker at ADM for many years until he retired.
Rex was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed gardening, sports and caring for his beloved dog, Bell. He loved traveling and considered San Diego his second home.
He is survived by six children, Dan (Janet) Wiley of San Diego, CA, Todd (Satoko) Wiley of Tokyo, Japan, R.D. (Ami) Wiley of Decatur, Shane Wiley of Decatur, Tammy (Tim) Fisher of Geneseo and Jennifer (James) Roach of Lakeland, FL; nine grandchildren, Marissa, Rachel, Nathan, Tyler, Tarah, Koki, Amber, Leanne and Stephanie; and one sister, Judy (Ron) Meek of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will host a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
