KRAMER
DECATUR- Dirk Kramer, 56, of Decatur passed away at 2:44 am Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side.
Memorial Mass to celebrate Dirk's life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 21, 2010 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Jeff Grant, Presider. The family will greet friends following the Mass. Private family interment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Kramer Family Fund at Earthmover Credit Union. Dirk was born on August 14, 1954 in Pana a son of Richard and Marge (Carlock) Kramer. He was a welder, assembler and heavy equipment operator for Caterpillar and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Dirk enjoyed camping, gardening, motorcycles, antiques, walking his dog Scout, and he was an avid bird watcher. Dirk loved watching his kids play hockey. He was a very proud father and grandfather. Dirk married Dawn E. Butler on December 4, 1997 in Orlando, FL.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wall, Dr. Wade, the Cancer Care Center Nurses, DMH 5th Floor Nurses and DMH Hospice, with a special thanks to Debby. The family would also like to thank our extended families- The Robin Hoods Woods Camping Family and the Decatur Youth Hockey Family. Your caring and support have meant the world to us.
Surviving are his wife- Dawn of Decatur, daughter- Katie Kramer of Decatur, son- Colton at home and daughter- Quinn at home, his granddaughter- Brooklyn, parents- Richard and Marge Kramer of Decatur, brothers- William Brett Kramer and wife Maria of Chicago, Darren Scott Kramer and wife Rachel of Peoria, aunts- Janet Porter of Phoenix, Patty Glascock of Argenta, Jean Redman of Maroa and uncle- Greg Carlock of Pana, brother in law- Brian Butler and wife Lisa of Sandown, N.H., sisters-in-law- Lynne Barry and husband Gary of Bedford, N.H., Nancy Woods and husband Scott of Litchfield, N.H., Rachel Butler of Loudon, N.H. and Erin Daley and husband Jimmy of Danville, N.H., special niece- Maria, special nephew- Weston, nieces and nephews- Brianna, Kyle, Matthew, Christopher, Riley, Hayden and Lilly, many cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his favorite uncle, Uncle Frog.
