Richard G. Price's Obituary
Decatur-Richard G. 'Dick' Price, 74, of Decatur, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 in Decatur Rehab and Health Care Center.
Services to celebrate Richard's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Camp Wilson Foursquare Church, 7570 W Main St, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Harristown Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice or Camp Wilson Foursquare Church.
Richard was born December 20, 1937 in Blackwater, Missouri, the son of Taylor and Verna (McGlaughlin) Price. He proudly served his country in the U.S Navy. He was previously employed with Firestone retiring after twenty-nine years of service. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local #713, American Legion Post #475 in Dalton City, and Camp Wilson Foursquare Church. Richard enjoyed golf, bowling, the St. Louis Cardinals, Notre Dame Football, and the Illini sports teams. He married Connie Turner September 17, 1960 in Brownstown, Illinois.
He leaves behind his wife Connie, daughters Cindy (Terry) Howe of Warrensburg, Denise (Scott) Bird of Warrensburg, and Susan (Ron) Lowe of Harristown, grandchildren Camren Lowe, Madyson Lowe, Taylor Bird, and Alyssa Bird, step-granddaughter Laura Howe, brother Bill (Bernice) Price of Marshall, Missouri, and Debbie (Bill) Corbin of Boonesville, Missouri, and his beloved cat Ozzie.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and grandsons Ronnie Lowe Jr., Ian Bird, and Lane Bird.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Chris White and the staff at Decatur Rehab and Health Care Center especially Marilyn, Shirmeka, and Kira for all of their loving care.
