Rita Rose Huck's Obituary
Rita Rose Huck, 85, of Decatur, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Rita was born on January 30, 1933 in Perryville, MO, the daughter of Simon and Julia (Moore) Parres. Rita married Gerald Huck on June 15, 1957 in Ste. Genevieve, MO.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald Huck, of Decatur; son, Mark (Cindy) Huck of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Julianna Huck of Champaign, IL; son, Jeff (Heidi) Huck of Rolling Meadows, IL; son, Greg (Linda) Huck of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Courtney Huck of Cincinatti, OH, Griffin Huck of Wilmington, NC, Noah Huck of Rolling Meadows, IL, Lexie Huck of Decatur, IL, Jackson Huck of Kansas City, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Julia Parres, brothers, Fred, Bernie, Joseph and Bud Parres and sister Mary Strattman.
Rita graduated from St. Mary’s High School in St. Mary, MO in 1951. After marrying Gerald Huck in 1957, she became, in her own words, a full-time domestic engineer. She enjoyed baking of which she was excellent, sewing, traveling, playing cards, games, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Imboden Creek for their dedication and service to Rita the past four years.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you please consider a memorial donation to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org, or the St. Teresa Educational Foundation.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home from 5 to 7:30 pm, with a prayer vigil service at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
