Robert W. "Bob" Earl's Obituary
Blue Mound – Robert W. “Bob” Earl, 71 of Blue Mound decided he had enough on Thursday December 21, 2017 surrounded by family.
He came into this world on February 11, 1946 to Ethel Doris (Denton) and John David Earl. He was one of the nine Earl clan; Minnie, Darlene, Sandy, Paul, Brenda, Chuck, Bud and Carol.
Bob conquered the roads of the United States and some of Canada as an over-the-road truck driver for many years! Into his retirement, he worked locally for Blackland Transport. He enjoyed all roadworthy adventuresome excursion no matter the miles, long or short! If you didn’t know your way, you called Bob!
He cherished his family above all else! Even in times of bone-headed mistakes and misguided mishaps, he lived and died for all of them! He married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Justice on June 15, 1977. He was a father to Robert W. “Bobby” Earl II, Paul. W. Justice, and Todd E. Justice and grandfather to Chance and Zayne Justice. If Bob wasn’t watching his grandkids at a football, baseball or hockey game he was reading a good western, sitting at a quiet fishing hole enjoying a Winston!
Bob will be having a family reunion with his mom and dad – Susie and John David; brother John “Bud” Jr and sister Carol; his beloved wife Barbara Jean; and son Paul Justice.
He died as a result of his stubbornness, refusing to see a doctor, and raising hell for 7 decades!
Bob’s friends and family are invited to a luncheon at the Blue Mound Lions Club December 26th at 2pm to share laughs, stories and enjoy pictures! Bring a snapshot to share!
As he rode off into the sunset, his friends and family bid him farewell with love, admiration and deep sadness. We love you dad, grandpa, uncle and brother and friend. Happy Trails, Bob — till we meet again.
