Robert R. Brown, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert R. Brown, Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Born on July 19, 1951, in Decatur, IL, the son of Robert E. and Rosa (Warner) Brown.
Robert married his beloved wife, Janet, on January 8, 1972, in Springfield, IL, celebrating 55 years together. He worked for 40 years as a repairman, dedicating 20 years of service at Montgomery Ward and 20 years at Sears. In his free time, Robert enjoyed fishing, but more than anything, he loved his family. He cherished his many grandchildren and was always eager to give chocolate and candy to his beloved grandkids.
Robert is survived by his wife — Janet Brown; ten children — Robert Brown, Jr. (Natalie), Kim Rambo (Rick), Keith Brown, Jeff Brown (Jess), Robin Taylor (Gandie), Monica Brown (Timmy), Heather Vorties (Stewie), Joe Brown (Erica), Tammy Rodriguez, and Chris Brown; one sister; three brothers; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm following the visitation.
