Robert William Cline's Obituary
Decatur-Robert William Cline, 97, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Bob was born July 26, 1915, in Decatur, the son of Merle and Frances (Cale) Cline. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Bob was employed with A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company retiring in 1977. He was a member of Summit Lodge 431 since he was 21 years old, a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, and a volunteer at Dove Inc.
He leaves behind his son James Cline (Mari) of Blackhawk, CO; daughter Jody (Rick) Welch of Blue Mound; grandchildren Michelle (Jeff) Miller of Decatur, Sheila of Decatur, Breanna Welch of Blue Mound; great grandchildren Hannah Miller, Noah Miller and Zechariah Miller all of Decatur.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and brother Cale.
Per his wishes cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn. A memorial for Bob will be held at Fairhaven Christian Home 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 27, 2013. Memorials may be directed to Good Samaritan Inn and the Oasis.
