Robert Alan Edwards' Obituary
Robert Alan Edwards, 74, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Robert was born January 20, 1943, in Decatur, to Robert Jack and Marie Esther (Butzer) Edwards. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a custom cabinet maker for many years. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and he was extremely musically talented and could pick up any instrument and play, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria Frantz of Decatur; one son, Jeff (Dee) Edwards of Bloomington, IL; one daughter, Cheri Edwards Henneman of Decatur; one step-daughter, Melissa (Blaine) Koehler of Decatur; one granddaughter, Shelby Dixon; one great-grandson, Caden Michael Henneman; one brother, Barry (Bobbi) Edwards of Forsyth, IL; and one nephew, Matthew Edwards of Forsyth, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Justin Michael Henneman.
Honoring Robert Alan Edwards wishes, cremation services will be provided by the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 2091 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, IL.
