Decatur- Robert Hatch, 82, of Decatur, passed away October 11, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family at his bedside.
Services to celebrate Robert’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral home with Pastor Eric Ginder officiating. Visitation will be Friday October 15, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors conducted by the USMC and “Flight Home” ceremony will be at Macon County Memorial Park.

Robert was born in Decatur, IL, September 22, 1928 the son of Claude and Molly (Sprinkle) Hatch. Robert proudly served his country in the USMC for three years. He retired from the A.E. Staley Corporation where he was a Boilermaker. Robert married Nancy Starkey on December 27, 1980.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Nancy, sons; Randy and wife Pam of Fountain Valley, CA, Robert Jr. and wife Debra of Hesperia, CA, and Scott Hatch of Champaign, IL, daughters; Nancy Metcalf and husband Mike of Greendale, IN and Kathy Davis and husband Terry of Decatur, step-children; Jerry L Starkey Jr. of Texas and Sharon Wadkins of Mahomet, brother; Arthur Hatch of Orlando, FL, sisters; Evelyn Lourash of Mt Zion, Sandra Beldock of Decatur, and Betty Cadwellader of Decatur, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was greeted into Heaven by his parents, brothers; Donald and Floyd and sister Juanita.
