Robert Paul Keck's Obituary
Decatur-Robert Paul Keck, 88, of Decatur, passed away at 10:35 am Friday, February 06, 2009 at Lincoln Manor with his family by his side.
Services to celebrate Bob’s life will be 10:30 am Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Resurrection Life Church, 1085 W. McKinley. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, February 9, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Life Church. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
Bob was born June 9, 1920 in Decatur, the son of William H. and Albertine Marie (Roarick) Keck. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He graduated from Millikin University in 1947. He was employed as a cost accountant at Wagner Casting Company retiring after several years of service. Bob was a member of Resurrection Life Church. He was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital. He enjoyed gardening and going to the YMCA.
He leaves behind his daughter; Paula Campbell and husband Kevin of Decatur, sons; William Keck and wife Starry of Sonoma, California and John Keck of Estherville, Iowa, grandchildren; Julie, Joe, and Belli, and great-grandchildren; Jessica, Phoebe, Bridget, and Piper.
Bob was a devout Christian who loved the Lord.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Lincoln Manor for all of their compassionate and loving care.
