Robert W. Niederbrach's Obituary
Forsyth-Robert W. Niederbrach, 90, of Forsyth, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Robert’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church. Robert was born October 24, 1918 in Nokomis, Illinois the son of William and Beatrice Niederbrach. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II in the South Pacific. He was employed in inventory management at Caterpillar retiring in 1983 after twenty-five years of service. He was member of Grace United Methodist Church and a die hard Cardinal Fan. He married Colleen Trent September 12, 1969 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife Colleen, son, John Niederbrach and wife Brenda of Decatur, daughter, Jackie Sellers and husband Stuart of Decatur, step sons, David Trent of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Tom Trent and wife Laurel of San Francisco, California, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, first wife Catherine, one brother, and one sister.
