Robert L. Weaver's Obituary
Oreana-Robert L. 'Bob' Weaver, Sr., 85, of Oreana, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in his home.
Bob was born August 25, 1927 in Decatur the son of Burt and Pearl Weaver. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner/operator of R.L. Weaver Concrete for over fifty years. He was a member of Stephen Decatur Lodge #979 and Macon Lodge #8 A.F. & A.M. and the Christian County Shrine Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. Bob helped a lot of people and would never ask for anything in return. He married Helen Dorothea O'Donnel.
He leaves behind his wife Dorothea, grandchildren Robert Weaver III of Mount Zion and Robin Chapman known to Bob as 'Robin Hood' of Delaware, and great-great-grandchildren Karla, Julie, Aiden, Emma Weaver and Monique Still and Michael Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert L. Weaver, Jr., brother Bill Weaver, and granddaughter Tasha Weaver.
Memorial visitation to celebrate Bob's life will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Masonic Rites to follow. Private family burial will be in Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
