Robert I. Wrigley's Obituary
Robert Ingram Wrigley, 81, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, August 19th at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Robert was born January 20th, 1943, to parents Robert and Esther Irene. He married Gloria Schmidt (Wrigley) on August 3rd, 1973, in Champaign. Gloria preceded him in death on Monday February 20th, 2006. He was also preceded in death by children Molly and Jim.
Bob graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelor of Science and earned a law degree from St. Louis University. He was an active member of the American Bar Association and practiced law in Decatur. He was also an active member at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Surviving are his brothers, Steve Wrigley and wife Linda, Thomas Wrigley and wife Betty, Chris Wrigley, and sisters Melinda O’Brien and Mary Ann King and husband Larry; sons Chris Brownlow and wife Michele, Shannon Joseph Brownlow and wife Tami, Stacey Snyder (Wrigley) and husband Josh, Dawn Huber (Wrigley) and husband Brian, Anthony Wrigley and wife Kristen; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 10am until the mass time of 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at the Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery.
Bob was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and son. We are comforted knowing he is at peace with his loving wife, mother, father, and brothers in heaven.
