Rocky Dee Bundy's Obituary
Rocky Dee Bundy, 65, passed away March 27, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Rocky was born March 11, 1956 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Jimmie and Norma (Minnis) Bundy. He married Christie Roberts on March 13, 1993 in Decatur.
Following Rocky’s graduation from Eisenhower High School in 1974, he served proudly in the U.S. Navy. He later became an IT systems technician for HSHS (Hospital Sisters Health System). He was an avid golfer and a member of the Decatur Men’s Golf Association. Rocky enjoyed rooting for his favorite sports teams: the Illini, the Cubs, and the Cowboys.
Rocky is survived by his wife, Christie; sons: Rocky L. Bundy (Katie) of Omaha, Nebraska and Craig Lienhart (Jenny) of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren Addison and Ellyse Bundy, Cameron and Kyle Lienhart, and Sean Myers; brothers-in-law Doug Roberts (Marilyn) of Centralia, Illinois and Brad Roberts (Leslie) of Maroa, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his pallies at Nellie’s. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jimmie Bundy and Kevin Bundy.
Visitation for Rocky Bundy will be from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday, April 3 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Rocky’s preferred charity. Condolences may be left for the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
